Fallout 2 Walkthrough → Bishop's NCR Quest
Bishop wants his piece of the NCR, and the NCR wants influence in Vault City. Bishop is hiring Raiders. Infiltrating the Bishop family is the only real chance. Thomas Moor is the only real chance, but first, go to Starkey in Vault City and accept his quest to take out the Raiders. After meeting Moore on the street, you can talk to Lynette about him.
He's a political idealist trying to end slavery and establish democracy in Vault City... to cooperate with the NCR and other forces. Lynette can't do anything to him until he breaks local laws (if you suggest killing him, she'll kick you out of town, not him).
Directions:
1. Ask Moore about the job (don't ask about pay) and head to New Reno.
2. Bring the briefcase to Bishop (500 exp), ask Bishop about Moore's job, and accept the quest to assassinate Westin.
3. Infiltrate Bishop's wife and daughter (remove the condoms from your inventory for better dialogue) to gain access to Bishop's private room.
4. Bishop has a booby-trapped safe. It contains a map of the Raider hideout and a holodisk with evidence proving that NCR is actually funding the Raiders to coerce Vault City into an alliance.
5. Eliminate the Raiders, return to Vault City, talk to Starkey, and Lynette, turn Moore in as an NCR spy (500 exp), and give her all the evidence (Bishop's disk + the folder from the Raider safe).
Note: There's sometimes a glitch here. Lynette might forget to thank you for the folder. Then you need to remove it and the disk from your inventory and give her the evidence piece by piece - first the folder, then the disk - and prove that Bishop was hired by NCR using Bishop's disk (2500 exp).
6. Lynette will ask you to deliver Bishop's disk to Roger Westin at NCR (2000 exp) (a good way to gain access to Westin's ranch). Complete Westin's quest about the brahmin and deliver his disk to Lynette (1500 exp).
7. As a reward, you'll receive an H&K G11 and some grenades from Randall in the Amenities Office.
