Olympus (Olympus 2207)

General Questions and Skill Improvement (Nevada)

General game questions:

Crafting items is done at workbenches, chemistry tables, and campfires. Workbenches are used for weapon upgrades and repairs, while other workbenches are used for various medicines and poisons. Towards the end of the game, you'll be able to obtain a "mobile campfire." Workbenches are available in the GU, Reno (Railway Station), Salt Lake (Factory), (Wind of War - Mechanic's Garage, Vegas - Garage Location), Hawthorne (Railway Station), and maybe elsewhere. Campfires: Lovelock - near the food vendor, Reno Railroad Station, near the workbench, BR - near Smith's house.

Some campfire recipes: Doctor's Briefcase (Rhino), Stimulant and Super Stimulant, Healing Powder, Iguana Kebab (random encounter), Bloodstealer, and Farrier (Smith in BR or Lovelock's Healer).

Some workbench recipes: miscellaneous repairs, Mickey's Revenge (Raiders) - power fist, Kubotan (Salt Lake or Vegas) - brass knuckles - very powerful, keys for it are made from regular keys or keyrings using the same recipe, leather jacket repair according to the quest from Jerlak.

Partial list of keys for Kubotan: key from Eli-Gorbinsky (GU) and a second one nearby; keyring from B. Louis (taken from a corpse); keys in Rhino: Stryker, girl at Luciano ranch, guy at the entrance to the Silver Hotel, from security guard Terry at Stryker's base, keys to the Eldorado Hotel; keys in Vegas: guy in tinfoil hat, guy near slot machines, key from the leader of the slave traders; keys in SLS: Provo from one of the blacks, special key at the train station, keyring of the plant administrator (but then the quest will be failed). Keyrings give 5 keys at once. (The keys of the brothers guarding their sister in Wind of War are not suitable for Kubotan.)

TV dinners and noodles can be cooked over a campfire or centrifuge; they heal HP well.

All characters playing with you can be given marked cards, which increases their chances of winning. The same trick with dice. But in Rhino, you need to do the opposite: replace the weighted dice with regular ones, but replace them, not steal them and then slip them in.

What's the point of a broken Pip-Boy? Dismantle it at a workbench and upgrade yours with a Geiger counter. Then use the "binoculars" on yourself to see the RADs.

What stats/skills can you improve by completing the game?

Partial list of stats:

+2 Stamina - New Reno and Vegas Ring Champion (if Stamina is increased to 10 by chemistry, then Stamina will not increase)

+1 Strength - Trainer in Vegas

+1 Luck - "Businessman" perk (also gives +5 to trade)

+1 Luck - Cheyenne Amulet (if in your hands)

+1 Intelligence - "Private Detective" perk (to get it, you need to complete several detective story quests: Patrick's quests, several quests in New Reno, the biker reputation quest, the mayor's and archivist's quests in Vegas. How many of them are needed is unknown, but it is possible to get it in Reno before reaching Vegas).

"Empathy" perk - purchased from a technician in Vegas

+5% critical chance - steal a suitcase from one of the patrons in the "Hard Rock" cafe.

Skills increase frequently - read the walkthrough.

How to repair power armor?

You need an anti-radiation suit (NPP) and a gas mask (Salt Lake, also available somewhere near the lake), a pressure helmet (Area 51), and blueprints for two stages (the first stage - Phil in BM or a Technician in VV, both stages in Area 51). A central processor (in Hawthorne), an autonomous system (in VV in the shelter, you can get it without a fight, but be careful). Money, time.

What to do with the car?

Drive it, of course. And upgrade it - the merchant at the entrance to Vegas will tell you about a junkyard where you can put in headlights and an awning. A technician in Reno (R/D) will upgrade it (or you can get it from Skitter). Phil (BM) will upgrade it. Another upgrade can be done independently using the SLS bibliophile's book. A street dog will repaint the car (if the quest for him is completed correctly, this little guy will be standing near the Eldorado). Another upgrade is also available from a technician at the SLS (Cola Factory). After completing the main quest, a technician from the Vegas police station can upgrade the car again.

The upgrade in Reno that the gatekeeper mentions is a scam. Walk straight down the road from the gatekeeper and steal some paint from one of the homeless people. The paint is ruined.

How do you fix the car? You need an item from the Nuclear Power Plant location. To get it, you'll need rope and a little ingenuity (search the garage there with a metal detector. You'll find some "fuel" for the future car). To learn about the car, you need to talk to the caravanners in VV.

Why does the hitchhiker appear without a car? Because it's a glitch. If you have a car, you'll already have him.

Where are the bibliophile pills? The first ones are from the doctor in VV. The second ones are from the mayor of Vegas (hard to find).

What are the Young Atomic Scientist's Kit, the Colonel's Armor (Biker Phil has the same broken armor. If you take them both, they stack. Phil did say in one of the dialogues that he wouldn't sell the armor because he's practically fused together, and even if he's killed, the armor would have to be penetrated, and it would be ruined. Maybe he just needs to be killed properly to keep it from breaking? General Wesker has the same one... so there are three of them in total), and the servo motor for? It's unknown yet.

Polymer plates are needed to upgrade the army-issue body armor from older versions of the game (it was in Horton) and could be given to General Wesker for delivering the bomb to him. There's no such quest in this version, so they're useless.

AAA!!! I gave the C-4 to Wright, and now I need it, what should I do? The easiest way is to wait until nightfall and poison him. Stealing won't work.

Where's the dog in the New Hopes cafe? Dogs are not allowed in the cafe. But you can find a sedative for the paranoid. Steal from visitors; the find is unique.

Where's the Ignition? None. RIP

Random RV: RV: Light Weapon 65 to repair the shotgun. Exchange 5 Water Flasks for 1 Stimpak (they don't disappear, so you can get Stimpaks regularly). Repair 50 – engine repair. Doctor 80 to identify the disease. You don't have to repair the engine, but you can remove the parts (they'll be useful for upgrading the car; the engine will be ruined after this manipulation). The main thing is not to tell the owner about this later... otherwise, he'll get offended and stop communicating with you. (You won't be able to exchange water for Stimpaks). Random Tanker: There's a cool pistol there. It's all pretty simple.

Random Ranger Post: You can find a radio and talk to the ranger through it. Nothing special, but the dialogue is funny. There's also an alcohol recipe lying around here. The car won't be in this location, but after you exit it, it should reappear. However, save in a separate slot. Don't drive there a second time, or your car will disappear. If you forgot something there, leave the car nearby and walk there.

How do I complete the warehouse special assignment?

Ion Synthesizer - Stryker's bunker;

Gas Analyzer - SLS in the "home shelter" in the slums;

Pulse Modulator - Thompson's shelter near the generator;

Pressure Regulator - buy at the Hoover Dam in Vegas or trade for pizza;

Clothing Synthesizer Chip - BB destroyed shelter, obtained without a fight.

How to get SoS? No way, it's no longer needed.
