Olympus (Olympus 2207)

New Reno (Nevada)

Gangs of Rhino.

If you want to complete the maximum number of quests, then do something like this: Bertolini (fail the last quest) and/or Luciano (don't turn in the last quest or give up the title), Wright (Uranus City will suffer slightly). Then Thompson or Stryker, your choice (details below), but they will probably each give you one quest if you do them in parallel. Big Louie doesn't have much of an impact on Rhino.

Hotel Silver.

The number of quests in Reno is insane.

If you killed the raiders, a survivor will meet you near the hotel. You can kill him or convince him in various ways.

Trade 40 in the caravanners' shop; you can gain experience for describing trading situations.

If you're a thief, the prices in the shop will be 10% higher. If you become one of the confidants, the prices will decrease. Slum Hero status also gives a 10% discount, and if you become a Sheriff in Uranus City, you'll get an additional 10% discount.

After trading for 30, the gatekeeper will tell you about a stash for $5. The stash is to the left of the entrance. There's a burning barrel and a tire there. The tire is the stash.

If you're a raider, you won't see the stagecoach, but 9 Strength or 70 Unarmed will allow you to knock some experience out of Tuco.

On the second floor of the Silver Hotel is a diagram of a doctor's briefcase. You can steal the key to the room.

Also on the second floor of the Silver Hotel is a guy with a "cat's paw" in his inventory. If you steal it, an interesting dialogue will occur.

At the bar, you can chat with the man at the counter and get a beer and experience. You need +50 Karma.

The guy in the leather jacket is near the vending machines. You need 40 Gameplay or 50 Erudition to complete his quest. It will take some time to complete. There are several ways to complete it: 1) suggest the formula; 2) talk to Mordino; 3) Convince him to change the machine.

Harding (a man in one of the rooms in the slums) will tell you about the missionary Patrick and indirectly give you a quest to help him. You need a high level doctor and will have to run around. To complete the quest, you need to talk to the residents of the neighboring house, Harding himself, and then Patrick. You need Erudition and Doctor 35. Afterwards, you need to return to Harding with a ticket to the nightclub (you can steal it in the Eldorado slums or beg it from Mama, the club owner).

Metal detector:

The Gate family lives in the room next to it, and they give you a quest to find a prospector. The prospector's body is in Hawthorne (see Hawthorne). If you don't complete Wright's quest, this one will be available.

After delivering the note (see Hawthorne), you'll be sent to look for Robert's partner, Mark. To find him, you'll need to go to the neighboring location (Eldorado) and interview the deceased's family—they're easy to recognize—and the others will speak politely to you. If you have 80 Speech, you can negotiate with them. If not, you'll need to visit Mark's family's neighbors, who will explain the situation. Afterward, you MUST visit Miss Gate, otherwise the quest will partially stall.

Afterward, Mark can be found in the BR bar. You can offer to complete the contract for him and receive a metal detector and the C4 quest (see Hawthorne). If the widow doesn't want to complete the quest, you'll have to complete Wright's quest in Uranus City, then bring him the C-4 (and tell him the prospectors have completed the job, otherwise you'll never see Miss Gate again), and then return to the widow to get the metal detector upgrade (without the upgrade, you'll have a hard time using it). You can install the upgrade at a workbench (40 Repair, 30 Erudition).

In the slums, you can find the widow Clover, who's being grilled by the Eldorado Casino administrators about her debts. Her debt can be paid or cancelled with a cigarette case. The cigarette case can be stolen from Wright or taken from the bodies of Stryker and Thompson. If you become Bertolini's consigliere, you can convince the administrator to forgive the debt.

The man in blue pants near the bar will give you a can of food. After opening the can, you should skin him three times.

Using a radio or a metal detector near the hotel, you can find the entrance to the sewers (you'll need a rope). A ghoul with an unfortunate fate is trapped there. What to do with him is up to you—his family is in the slums not far from the entrance. If you hand the ghoul over to the man, you'll receive a gas mask suit, which you'll need for armor, but you can also get it in other ways, as well as a unique melee weapon... although it's a weak one called a "metal rod." If you tell your wife everything, the ghoul will give you a lighter and +5 karma. Afterwards, if you kill the ghoul, you can loot his "unique weapon," but the gas mask suit will be gone.

Near the hotel, there's a homeless man asking for food. If you feed him, he'll give you +5 karma and can tell you how to catch the graffiti hooligan. There's a wrecked car nearby; if you search it with a metal detector, you'll find a unique 10mm pistol, an "Obsolete Colt 6520."

At the hotel itself, you can ask the receptionist who's been vandalizing all the walls – you'll be given a quest to find the art hooligan. Between 2 and 4 AM, a kid will be hanging around near the wall. After he "hits the wall," you need to talk to him and bring him back to the hotel. After that, it's up to you to decide what happens to him. The best option (5 Intelligence) is to get him to paint his signature graffiti. Then, Street Dog (he'll be near the Eldorado) can paint your car.

The receptionist will also give you a quest to repair the hood (it's on the second floor in one of the rooms). Repair 40.

At night, you can find flashing lanterns all over Reno (and other cities). Fixing them will earn you some experience (save before doing so). Prostitutes will give a discount for repairing lanterns near them.

Eldorado

If you kill Thompson, you won't be able to peacefully approach Bertolini.

Bertolini's Quests:

Level 7 is required to access the quests.

The first quest is to deliver a message to Canary. He's a homeless person near Luciano's ranch. You can turn him in to Machete if you wish.

The second quest is to cause a quarrel between the restaurant and the casino. The easiest way to do this is to mine the cart that appears near the Silver Hotel. You'll need dynamite or plastic explosive, but quack poison or a scorpion tail (which reduces karma) will also work. Set a timer and, while stealth, slip it there. If a guard notices you doing this, you can get him drunk first.

The third quest is to plunder the ranch. You need to set fire to a barrel in the warehouse (you need a lighter). The warehouse is a large building with a locked door. The lighter can be found at the Silver Hotel location. Alternatively, you can poison the brahmin's drinking fountain (more karma reduction).

The fourth quest is to follow Hughie (the guy in the leather jacket in the casino near the stairs). It's up to you to decide what to do. If you don't kill the mole, Bertolini will attack you (or, with a Speech skill of 50, simply kick you out). If you kill the mole or force Hughie to do so, you'll become Bertolini's consigliere. Thompson will respect you, and Stryker will send you packing.

White Jazz Man:

If the character is male, a dialogue with Cotton the bartender will ask about the empty stage. This starts the jazz band quest. To continue the quest, you need Charisma 7. Ornette the Trumpeter is the guy in the red shirt in the slums. He needs the trumpet Wright has. Steal it or force your way in—it's your choice. You can buy it, of course, but that's not our choice. You can also talk him into it... At night, in stealth mode, it's easy to get around Wright and loot all the cabinets. Ornette will tell you about the other participants. Near one of the entrances (where the bars are) sits a homeless man who likes to play drums (cans). Don't be stingy with the $10—you'll need it later. Guitarist Charles (Silver's Slums) will require Reputation in the slums. Patrick's quests will be enough. Now the jazz band is assembled. All that remains is to convince Thompson not to fleece the bartender. To do this, you need 75 trade, kill everyone there, or agree to unfavorable terms :). Concerts are scheduled for specific days, so keep an eye on the calendar. You can type in the name of the jazz band before the concert, but it won't affect anything.

Instead of a third concert, there'll be a bartender assault. You'll need to talk to him, then Ornette, to find out who did it. You can convince the culprit to take your place as the singer with 75 conversation (or kiss his ass). Or, with 7 intelligence, you'll learn a lot of interesting things, but then you'll need 75 speech or kiss his ass again. Then there'll be another concert, and that's it. There's also a mini-quest about pasting up posters (you need to hand out flyers to four kids to put up. The size of your performance fee may depend on completing this task. It may also only be given if the situation with the graffiti on the hotel walls is peacefully resolved beforehand. The list of kids you need to give flyers to: 1) Street Dog (near the Eldorado casino), 2) Mrs. Gate's son (who gives the quest to find a prospector husband), 3) a kid in the same eastern slums who's on the quest about writing a letter to Patrick, 4) a poor guy scurrying between tables in the Silver Hotel restaurant.), but they didn't give it to me.

Near the entrance to Cotton Bar, there's a kid who hasn't been paid. You can beat the money out of the bartender and give it to him. Or not give it to him... (48 Speech is required to get the money).

In Cotton, the bartender will offer to bring you a comedian from New Vegas. Quite a journey – the comedian lowers your luck by 3 while he's with you.

You can find a hairpin in the bar sink. You can give it to the owner, who complains about it.

In the Cotton bar, there's a guy who lost a medallion. He can be found north of Stryker's base and east of the bunker entrance with a metal detector.

Patrick's Quests:

Near El Dorado, there's a building where Patrick lives. He'll give you several quests:

- Questionnaire – just answer the questions – your answer doesn't matter;

- Cure the homeless person – Doctor skill or medicine;

- Pick up a package (from the guy talking about Harding near the Silver Hotel). You need 55 Speech to pick it up for free;

- Get Wright's permission to show the film; persuading him is easy (25 Speech, only works if you have a good reputation in the slums or he's already given you quests; otherwise, permission will cost $1,000);

- Guard Patrick during the screening (the easiest way is to pickpocket the audience; you'll figure out what to do there; you can stand in the killer's way and try to persuade him or kill him, but in this case, you'll only get experience for the kill and Patrick will disappear).

A man near the slums will give you lockpicks and a little experience in exchange for a pistol (any kind), or you can simply kill him (+5 karma).

You can participate in no-holds-barred fights near the casino. Unlike F2, these are to the death. The number of fights is limited, but they collectively yield a lot of experience and money. And a + to stamina if you complete them. Fights also give reputation, which can be used to start gang quests.

A ringside trainer can increase hand-to-hand combat by 5% for $1000.

Before one of the final fights, the ring leader will give you a tip about a chemist; you need to talk to him about improving your chances.

The casino administrator (on the second floor) can give you a quest to repair a cue. You can do it yourself (you need another cue) or give him the equipment. The cue can be obtained from Chase or from the desk at Luciano's Ranch. You can plant a bug in the cue after repairing it.

In the slums, there's a man suffering from headaches. Doctor 50 will allow you to diagnose him, and afterward, Speech 80 will help you find out who supplies him with medication (see Raider quests).

In the same room, there are two guys arguing over a game. You can: 1) resolve the dispute in someone's favor or reconcile them for extra experience (Speech 32%); 2) offer to play for the right to own it, including with them (winning requires a game 35%); 3) grab the game and move on (the game costs $35).

Solomon will give you the "Dig Up a Ghoul" quest if you're a Gravedigger. The corpse is buried at the train station. Don't carry it around for long. You'll receive Corpse Amphetamine as a reward: it grants +1 (one) action point in combat for 20 minutes, but -3 (three) stamina for 24 hours and a large dose of radiation that will affect you two (two) times, for a total of 60 to 80 rads, depending on your resistance (costs nothing). Karma -10.

Strip Club:

In the strip club, a female character can try her hand at being a dancer; a Dexterity of 7 is required (and a Charisma of at least 3). You'll receive a substantial amount of money and the quest. To enter the club for free (as a woman), you need an Intelligence of 7.

After performing a few times, you'll be advised to leave the club through the back door (it's worth rummaging through the lockers and safe). There you'll meet Ted Bundy, a tough opponent with a ripper (you can outrun him, but that will break the quest). If you exit through the front door, you'll gain the "Gigolo" perk, be poisoned, and risk dying if you're low on HP. If you decide to do so, don't talk to Mom until you leave town, otherwise she'll refuse to talk to you later.

After Ted's death, you'll receive a photo and the opportunity to perform again. Talk to Mom about it, then to the bartender. Then you'll need to find the address on the back. Before heading to the slums, you can stop by the reception desk at Silver, where they'll tell you where to look. This is the apartment where you picked up Patrick's package near the Silver Hotel. Ask around and head to the train station. There, you need to find the only locked door in a row of houses and search the refrigerator. Now you need to talk to Tuco at the caravan site. He'll tell you that he delivered the girl to Las Vegas. You'll find her in Vegas at the Hard Rock Cafe, and she'll ask you to say hi to Mom. The only problem is, Tuco won't tell you anything if you're a raider.

In the manager's room, there's a portrait of Elvis in the desk. It's an Easter egg—he appeared in Fallout 1 and 2. (The same painting can be taken from the wall in the casino on the second floor in Las Vegas.)

Wright's Quests:

If you've completed Stryker's or Thompson's quests, Wright won't give you any quests. Luciano's and Bertolini's quests are irrelevant. You need reputation in the slums or elsewhere to start the quests.

To complete Wright's first quest, you need to talk to Nelson the ghoul and the bar owner. They'll tell you about the situation in the city and three worms. Then Wright will accept the first quest.

The second quest is to retrieve the C-4 from Hawthorne. Read more in the Hawthorne section and the Metal Detector section. If you simply retrieve the C-4, give it to Wright, and tell him the prospectors did everything, the metal detector quest will be available and can be completed.

The third quest is to eliminate Nelson. You'll have to kill him. The others will turn against you, but if you leave them alone, you'll be greeted peacefully again after leaving the location.

The fourth quest is to find out who the spy is wandering the slums. At the Silver Hotel location, there's a homeless man between two houses. He's the spy. Perception 7 or Unarmed 65/Strength 7 are needed to identify him. Alternatively, you can give him $300.

The fifth quest is to enlist Luciano's help. Convincing Luciano requires a conversation level of 70. Helping him or having a high reputation in Reno will also help.

Town Hall - Thompson's Quests:

This area only contains Thompson's gang quests and some loot. However, in the safehouse itself (free access) there's an autodoc that can be repaired. The minimum repair skill is 35, but a full repair will require 90. This will grant you free healing for everything. The number of doses of each cure is limited, but there are quite a few. If you repair the autodoc at 80, it will still fully heal you, but there's a 1% chance the autodoc will kill you while healing you.

You can access Thompson's quests from level 7. You need to pressure him, then he will give you the first quest.

The first quest is to find out who is behind the attack on Thompson's whores. This is easy to do - talk to the whores near the Cotton Bar and then to the idiot near Patrick's house. You can convince him or kill him. *These idiots may attack the wanderer at some point. But whatever.) So, if you kill them beforehand, nothing criminal will happen. In this case, you just need to tell Mom that the deed is already done.

The second quest is to find those who attacked Thompson's gang. First, you need to talk to the wounded man in the farthest room. The guy will tell you about an autodoc, where you can send him (after repairs). You can also heal him yourself (use the doctor on him), but this will not have any effect in the conversation.

To find evidence, you need to use Erudition or Repair on the lantern near the whores (the ones near Wright). Then you need to go into Patrick's house and go out onto the balcony to find the shell casing. Then you should talk to Patrick. After turning in this quest, you won't be able to complete Stryker's entire chain, but he disappears from the quests after Stryker's final quest.

The third quest is to convince Mordino to let Thompson's men in. There are two possible outcomes:

(Combat) talk to the hotel manager, then talk to the boy in the hotel restaurant, where for 8 charisma or a drug candy, he'll tell you about the basement of the train station, where the Mordino family lives. Security consists of three guards with 10mm pistols and one with a sledgehammer.

(Diplomatic) At Stryker's base, in the room with the mini-generator, with an erudition level of 30 (unconfirmed), we learn that Stryker decided to eliminate Mordino after seizing power. Tell Mordino himself about this, and this becomes the decisive argument in Thompson's favor.

The fourth quest: Thompson needs you to interrogate a spy in Stryker's camp and interrupt the deal. The guy will demand a bribe of $1,000; with a trade of $50, you can guess why. Then you can give him a stagecoach ticket. You can also get information about the deal from the same computer where you found the info on Mordino and save $1,000. Stryker is a complete idiot. He had to figure out how to store all the strategic information on a computer in an unguarded room, locked with a 50-point lock (I think) in a city where two out of three residents are thieves or stalkers... Next, you need to sabotage the deal at the Silver Hotel. Speech 80/Trade 55 will allow you to negotiate peacefully.

The fifth quest is to take out Stryker. Before that, Trade 30 or Charisma 8 will allow you to scrounge up some weapons. Then, you just need to use the computer near the generator. All that's left to do is report the news to the strike team commander, who will be near Stryker's evacuation bunker.

The quest to rescue Terry will then be available.

Stadium - Stryker's quests.

To start Stryker's quests, you need 70 stealing, level 7, or reputation.

The first quest is to kill Patrick. A Speech Skill of 50 will allow Patrick to live.

The second quest is to take a package of chemicals from a drug dealer. Trade Skill: 50 - Take half the money for yourself when talking to the dealer. The dealer is located near the Eldorado Casino; after the conversation, he disappears, but later returns. After completing this quest, Thompson will be upset with you, but you can kill Stryker and this quest will disappear from your quest list.

The third quest is to take photos in Thompson's bunker. It's not difficult; just take pictures of everything until the console says you have enough photos. Avoid approaching people with a camera in your active hand. Under no circumstances should you complete this or the previous quest if you want to complete Thompson's chain.

The fourth quest is to switch condoms. A prostitute is located between Patrick's house and the casino. You need the main one. You can refuse the quest, but Stryker will be offended and will not give you any more quests.

The final quest is to storm the town hall. You'll need to tinker with the generator and do some shooting. A group of Strykers will be with you (just don't let them block the building's exit; you can't push them). Before the quest, you can request a submachine gun and two stimpacks. You don't have to engage in a fight.

To contact the bikers, you only need a piece of paper and access to Stryker's bunker. You can get access to the bunker from Stryker or by hacking the door (100% - 10% chance when hacking. Lockpicking is easier). This costs $1,000, requires being Louis's henchman, or through a woman's bed, or by completing Stryker's quests. This only opens the outer door to the bunker; you can get a part for Vault City. To hack the door without a piece of paper, you need an Erudite level of 90.

A certain "Racer" is stationed in Stryker's building; he'll give you some useful information for alcohol. Gives a quest to find the glasses he lost at Mama's Club (see B. Louis's quests).

In the room with the guard dogs, there are several useful books in the workbench, and the toolbox above it contains many good items. Can be obtained with at least 60 stealth (40 with Stealth Boy). Enter from the street after opening the door (40 lockpicking). If stealth is poor, you'll have to go through some areas by pressing combat mode.

Chemist Terry:

You can approach the chemist with a Speech Skill of 50. Or, if you're a woman, say you're his wife. After talking to Terry (with an Erudition of 50, you can surprise him, which will give you access to his desk), a boy will meet you at the exit with a message about meeting at the hotel. A monk will appear on the second floor of the Silver Hotel.

A melee weapon of 75 will allow you to identify the monk's "stick." After talking with the monk, you need to talk to Terry. He'll tell you that the guard likes to drink and that you need to open the door. Use three bottles of alcohol on the guard (no vodka or whiskey), open the door (lockpicking or the guard's key), and talk to Terry. If Stryker was killed during Thompson's quest, the quest will be mostly the same. You just won't need to get the guard drunk or force the door open. Thompson's men won't be aggressive. Then, follow him out of the building, and he'll teleport to Silver with his family. All that's left to do is talk to them to escape. You'll need a rope (spent in dialogue), or you can convince Stryker's guards to leave (they'll appear at the entrance). You can send them alone or go with them. If you go with them, you'll have a choice between fighting in the house or fighting with the whole crowd. One of the corpses can be looted for a unique 10mm police-issue pistol with a flashlight (it's the best 10mm pistol; its accuracy is almost unaffected by darkness). The choice is yours. But Stryker's men will become aggressive (if you participate in the fight, the NPCs will disappear if you delay the decision at the hotel).

Luciano's Ranch - Luciano's quests

Luciano's gang quests are here. Slave collars are also bought here, and there's a unique leather jacket in a closet in a locked room; you need Lockpicking 40+ (there are slave collars in a nearby bookcase, useful for crafting "Mika's Revenge").

To enter the ranch without a fight, you need to equip the stolen leather jacket (or have it on you). You won't be asked about it a second time, so you can discard it later.

A missing warrior from Lovelock is also working as a slave here. Rescuing him requires Sabotage 40. You can also disable all the collars with Erudition/Repair in the generator room. Alternatively, you can buy him out. You don't have to take the quest to rescue him; you'll recognize him anyway.

Machete will give you a quest to find a machete. It's at the train station, detectable with a metal detector. Taking the machete to the workbench and cleaning it will increase the quest reward.

You can give a lighter to the man dressed as a butcher or doctor. You'll hear an interesting story about Mr. Luciano.

The quest at the ranch is to sort out the supplies (you need to talk to the girl in the house to the left of the fence). She'll ask you to find out who's feeding Thompson and Striker if your trade is at 40. For Striker, you need to use the computer hanging on the wall near the generator, and for Thompson, use your erudition on the book lying on the table in one of the rooms (specifically, on the book, not the table). This will give you a recommendation for Luciano's quests.

In the Eldorado Casino, Mr. Chase is standing near the pool table (the bartender can tell you about him). If you choose the right dialogue options, he'll give you experience (up to 2000 with "wise" answers) and a quest to install a wiretap in Bertolini's office, which then gives you access to Luciano's quests. After the "game," you'll receive a cue, which will be useful for the casino renovation quest.

The easiest way to wiretap is with the janitor (70 Speech and $500), but he'll disappear. The manual option is more difficult. One bug must be planted in the desk at night through the inventory (not just placed as an item), the second - either in the broken cue (which the casino administrator gives for repair) on the workbench, or in the ventilation grate in the "dressing room" next to Bertolini's room.

To access the quests, you must either talk to Chase (see above) or be at least level 7.

The first quest requires stealing a suitcase with money from Bertolini (it can be sold in barter for $30,000) and committing sabotage.

The easiest way is to have a female character go to bed with Bertolini and then crack the safe there, either with thermite or by lockpicking. Or, sneak up to the safe at night (if stealth isn't enough, you can sleep in the wardrobe). Huey can give you the safe code (appears only after completing Bertolini's final quest) if you fail Bertolini's final quest. He'll also tell you how to rob the armory. The guy doesn't like his dad... The guard is sleeping, so the key is to hold down the shift key.

The second quest requires sabotage: poisoned beer is brewed over a campfire or ordered from pushers ($300). It must be stolen and planted on customers. Another sabotage option is to rob the armory and, wearing a mask, shoot at the customers. However, stealth alone isn't enough with the armory (night, electrical panel, a quick run, and one attempt). You need to hand over both the sabotage and the suitcase at the same time. Otherwise, you might encounter bugs.

The third quest is to mine the entrances to Stryker and Thompson. Any explosive will do: dynamite, plastic explosive, a grenade, or dynamite sticks. However, it's best to open Stryker's door in case you need to drop in for a chat.

The fourth quest is to make a deal. If you trade 75, you can get some of the money for yourself.

After that, you'll be offered the opportunity to become "Luciano's Consigliere." After that, Bertolini and Thompson will refuse to deal with you. Stryker will continue to give quests. If you refuse, the quests will give everything.
