Olympus (Olympus 2207)

New World Order (Olympus 2207)

One of the most interesting locations in the game.

There are five areas here: the entrance, the first floor of the factory, the second floor, the basement, and the tent area on the left.

There are four merchants at the entrance, where you can get rid of your junk and buy a leather jacket for starters. Don't get too close to the caravan merchants on the right and near the factory building; the guards can aggro, regardless of whether you're armed.

Also on the right is Siren, a guy in strange armor, a liar and a coward. You'll need to go with him to Tin Industries to get some tin, but that's a bit later, as he'll escape. The basement is guarded by a chimera. It's still difficult to do alone, so first, bring Shaggy and a better weapon (more on that below).

In the tent area, the main character will meet Henry. He asks you to find his girlfriends Becky and Sunny, who have gone to Pearson Town, and gives you his coordinates. With a more or less decent firearm and a loyal wolf companion, this shouldn't be difficult (described below).

Seth and Mat, brothers who have fallen out, live in two adjacent rooms. Both are interested in Lavoies for different reasons, but the goal is to reconcile them. First, play along with Seth and promise to help negotiate with Lavoies' leaders. Then, I recommend trying Mat's lavash before the conversation and offering to reconcile, but he's reluctant. Back to Seth, same result. Now you'll have to blackmail Mat with your agreement with his brother and the impending invasion of Lavoies slavers. For a small sum and his agreement to be the first to make peace, you can agree to eliminate the non-existent threat. In a conversation with Seth, we appeal to the familial bonds of brotherhood, and voila, the family is restored, and Mat will even fit a barrel and a repair kit for the shotgun.

Next up is the lavash farm and Philip, concerned about the animals' lack of appetite. We need to take a look around – this is implied by the main character's final line: we see oil stains in the food bucket, which is the cause. We return the next day and learn that Philip scared off someone trying to poison the animals, and in gratitude, he gives us a Slugger gun, which will be useful against the Dogs of Sunset. Now we'll talk about Philip's love for animals, ask him for some sugary lavash, and feed the fire wolf – now we have a great companion, Shaggy. During other quests, you might learn that the mayor's son and his friend were the ones spoiling the lavash farm's food, but I didn't follow up on this information. Shaggy can now take you to Pearson Town and Tin Industries.

Just above is the slaughterhouse and Owen the butcher, and in conversation with him, you can point out his hand injury. Perhaps, with advanced healing skills and the right tools, you could cure him yourself, but for now, we suggest calling a doctor. Let's go downstairs.

Below is the house of Dr. Ginder, who never took the Hippocratic Oath, and the attached warehouse of the cannery—it's hard to guess; it would have been more logical to place the warehouse on the first floor of the factory, in the room to the right, or in the basement. They have to agree to a certain contribution to medical development, which turns out to be unpleasant and painful, but the doctor will heal Owen's hand. The butcher's goodwill will later come in handy in the mayoral election quest, and lava meat could be used to craft sugar for the wolf. Mark will give the sugar for reconciling his family, and Philip will tell you the recipe, but they've already received it from Philip as a thank you.

Blanca, the local sex bomb and girlfriend of the liar and coward Siren, lives in another tent. She's heard a lot about sex toys (a quest for the black protagonist) from Laivos. If you handle the dildo skillfully, Blanca will give you a decent incendiary shotgun.

Now we head to the factory building. On the first floor, in order from the entrance, are Sam, Arsen with his father Dan, and the clearly paranoid aunt, the mayor's son Daniel, Skip behind bars, and Juan in the workshop.

Juan mentions the disappearance of some machine part and mentions that it "just disappeared," but searching the basement (the stairs in the vestibule near the central entrance, to the left) yields nothing. There's a mention of possible theft, but Daniel says nothing about such pranks, and the part is illogically in Arsen's inventory; stealing it is quite difficult, requiring at least a skill of 100. You can simply knock him out, run out of the building, and return; all will be well. There's an easier option: find the repair manual in Pearson Town. Give it to Juan, and he'll fix the conveyor belt himself, without having to search for or steal the necessary part. It's the same experience and cost. You can also fix it yourself; it's the machine in the middle of the conveyor belt; it requires a very high repair skill, I think 110, but I haven't tried it myself.

Skip has been arrested on suspicion of stealing canned goods from the warehouse. Question him, and at midnight, head to the back exit of the warehouse, defeat the chimera, and then go to the second floor of the factory (the stairs next to Sam's room) to see Mark, the town's mayor. Tell him of Skip's innocence, then mention your help to the townspeople, and you'll receive a quest to reconcile Sam and Lucy.

Sam is a ghoul, the former mayor of the NWO and Mark's grandfather. He hates Lucy for her infidelity to Mark, and he might reveal that Daniel is actually Dan's son, not Mark's. The protagonist can personally verify Lucy's accessibility; persuading her to reconcile with Sam isn't difficult. He needs to steal some perfume from the cabinet next to her; it'll come in handy in Laivos. Mark will reveal that Sam is addicted to expensive medications and therefore steals money from the budget. This can be used for blackmail, or he can appeal to his wisdom and tolerance, and the reconciliation issue is resolved.

Sam also asks to investigate the cause of the poor-quality water supply from Laivos. No problem, just run there and speak to the water supplier at the entrance.

Next, you should talk to Mark's bodyguard, Buck. He wants to find out who will take over as mayor after the gravely ill Mark dies. You should talk to Mark first, then Daniel, Dan, Arsen, and Sam, and maybe even Lucy. We conclude that Daniel will be a terrible mayor and is willing to pretend he's changing, so we tell Mark all this. You can choose not to mention that Daniel isn't his son; in either case, he'll ask you to find out how the NWO residents will react to Sam becoming mayor. We discuss this with Owen, Ginder, Buck, Juan, Flint, and Siren, gaining a majority, and return to Mark. As a reward, you'll receive an encyclopedia, one of four quest items for Olympus.

A nervous woman is running back and forth in the room with Dan and Arsen. Apparently, Daniel and Arsen shoved Lavash's head through her window. She just needs to be explained that there's nothing wrong with her mental state; just choose the longest answer options.

You can also work as a security guard, visit Rainbow, Lavoie, and the Dusk Dogs.

Pearson Town:

Everything is pretty simple here with a fairly high level of hacking skill. Just shoot the undead and jackals, and Shaggy does most of the work.

In the second house, top right, where the car is, there's a Lucky Potato on the shelf. In the large house, there's a repair manual; you can give it to Juan at NMP, and he'll fix the conveyor belt himself, eliminating the need to search for or steal parts. Cheese can be found in one of the boxes on the shelves – you'll need it from the Dusk Dogs, although you can also find it at Tin Industries.

There's also a pistol repair kit, and in the basement we'll find Sunny and Becky. Now we need to find their father and the medic's bag. We head to the southern district, where we see the body of the sisters' father in the hospital building. The medic's bag is in one of the glass cabinets. I also found whiskey there, the missing ingredient for making fertilizer for Prisley from the Metro Station. There's a safe in the wall nearby, which requires a skill level of 100 to open, but there's nothing of interest inside.

Teen Industries:

Nothing of interest. In the basement, kill the chimera, collect three rolls of tin and a robotron arm, which can be used to enter Lavoice. In the room in the middle of the hall with two white chairs, we'll find a piece of the Renaissance map in the boxes in the upper right corner.
