Helmets

Stalker: Call of Pripyat  → Helmets

A gas mask is a standard gas mask designed to filter radioactive dust and toxic substances from the air. It is widely used by both newcomers and veterans of all groups due to its indispensable functionality. It does not provide protection against bullets, shrapnel, or mechanical impacts.

The Steel Helmet is a standard military steel helmet. It doesn't provide protection from anomalies or radiation, but it can deflect incoming bullets. It was in demand in the Zone only during the initial clashes between factions.

The Sfera-M12 is a fabric-lined aluminum-titanium helmet with pockets for steel armor elements and an armor mask. It is typically supplied with PS3-class body armor for special forces. It is quite popular in the Zone due to its respirator and integrated night vision device, as well as its excellent head protection. Electronics can be installed.

The tactical helmet is a Western-style tactical helmet, devoid of any markings. It is designed to provide the unit commander with the maximum amount of tactical information when equipped with the appropriate electronic components. It features a reinforced construction and is also equipped with multi-layered Kevlar protection, a respirator, and a night vision device.

The Zaslon is a lightweight helmet with a sealed visor, designed to protect the face from certain anomalous impacts. Judging by the technology, it was developed by the same defense research institute as the SEVA suit. It is presumably intended for use with military protective suits.
