Convince Brother William to take care of his brother, Bart. Find the secret room in the northeast basement and talk to William for 500xp. If you talk to Bart afterward, he'll give you the StealthBoy device. There's a backpack in the room nearby that you can stuff with extra gear.
Talk to the monk outside and convince him to raise your Wanderer skill by 15 points.
Offer to become a member of the Abbey.
Bring the Vault City computer data.
You'll need a Science skill of 120 and a Perception skill of 7+ to retrieve data from the Vault City computer. Once you do, you'll gain access to the Abbey computer and other quests. There are four computer terminals in the Abbey's basement. The farthest computer, to the south, will give you the location of Carson and the Brotherhood of Steel Facility.
If you choose to take their implant:
Earn a new Karma title
- +15 Science
- -1 Perception
- +2 Intelligence
If you select a disk:
Earn a new Karma title
- +15 Science
Bring the Hubologists' computer data. 1500xp
It's very simple. You just need to use the Abbey holodisk on the computer near Crockett at the Hubologist base in San Francisco.
Bring Shi's computer data. 2500xp
Use the Abbey Holodisk on the Emperor (computer). You must have a Science skill level of 140 to successfully complete this quest.
To get to the Emperor, you can take the fake blueprints from the abbot. You can also approach him using a Stealth Boy.
Bring the data from the NCR computer.
The NCR computer is located in Carlson's residence. 500xp if you obtain the data using the implant, 1500xp if you hack the computer.
Bring data from the EPA computer. 3500xp
Bring the data from the Carson City computer. 3500xp
This computer isn't exactly in Carson City; it's in the Destroyed Reactor 7. You'll first have to find and kill Krueger to gain access to the computer room. The computer is broken, so use the Repair skill on the computer to find out that a part is missing. You'll need junk to fix it. Get the junk and use it on the computer. Then, simply copy the files to the Abbey holodisk.
Find and bring back the Vertibeard plans. 25,000xp.
Be careful, if you let the Brotherhood of Steel copy Vertibird's plans, the abbot will attack you, he has about 25 od and a power fist, as do the other monks.
Find and bring the FOB. 5000xp.
If you give up the tanker key, you won't be able to complete the game the standard way. If your intelligence is higher than 4, you'll have to eat Mentants and wait for the withdrawal period to avoid the tanker FOB. For a Chosen One with low intelligence (<4), the quest "Navigation Computer Requires a Special Part to Operate" is automatically completed when completing the quests "Retrieve Vertibird Blueprints for the Brotherhood of Steel" or "Assassinate Emperor Shi." In the latter case, you must report separately to NIK-9.
