This city hasn't apparently been fully developed by modders yet. But some interesting things have been added. There are several quests from the Cold-Blooded; be careful killing the bosses—they might be needed for quests (Salvatore). There are some new features.
For example, TAXI . For a fee, it takes you to three locations around New Reno (The Stables, Golgotha, and Sierra Base), as well as to two previously random encounters:
Cafe at Broken Hopes ($2,500)
"Guardian of Time" ($3000).
In the first, you can have a good laugh at the lines of "unused" NPCs, listen to Seth, and recruit Dogmeat (the dog, like a big one, now requires a party spot for Charisma; he's not invited automatically). After attacking the dog, you can loot his defender's P90c, the best SMG for common ammo. Take it if you can.
In the second, you find yourself in the legendary 13th, where you need to use a time loop to trigger the plot of the first Fallout. On the floor of the small storage room (across the wall from the large one, the entrance is from the computer room) lies the Solar Scorcher, a cool energy weapon—only in the light.
The only "BUT!" is that the taxi takes you almost to the sea, just north of the Sulik Primitive Tribe, and the erotic walking journey back will definitely be entertaining.
If you want to recruit Dogmeat (he has 15 AP, even without an upgrade), it's best to arrive in New Reno before level 6 (the first upgrade for both Dogmeat and Sulik/Clint is at level 6). That is, if you go to Gecko first for a car part, you can't do any quests along the way. So, you can do them, but you can't turn them in...
The boxing rules have changed. Now, for four wins, you get 5% physical damage resistance and 4% hand-to-hand combat, along with the Prizefighter (not just for entering the ring, as before), i.e., no matter what. Grab some heavy gloves, gorge yourself on drugs, and beat everyone. Losing one fight is no longer necessary; it doesn't change anything.
Deliver the Gauss weapon sample to Eldridge.
In exchange, he'll show you the location of Bunker 21. (Any Gauss weapon will do, such as the pistol from the Enclave soldier's body in Gecko.)
Find out the location of the Abbey from Father Tully.
If you ask him about his past and why he's in New Reno, he'll tell you where the Abbey is. This will cost you some moonshine, as will any other questions you might ask him about New Reno.
Sierra Army Unit
Skynet:
There are currently two bodies to choose from: a regular bot brain and a clockwork bot. The clockwork bot can be repaired in the same way as a regular bot, but instead of a motivator, it requires a power regulation chip. This can be found in a box on level 2 (storage - northern territory). The clockwork bot has a rocket launcher!
