Fallout 2 Walkthrough → Game Secrets and Tricks :) (Part 1)
1. Vault 15 - You can plant a grenade in the computer in Vault 15 and run away. The computer explodes, and you can grab some wires from it. Head to the Enclave. If you encounter a glitch with a car in the middle of a passage in the maze-like room (or whatever), use the wires on the car, exit, use the wire on the nearest door (they stay in your inventory), and return - the car disappears.
Leave the Enclave (whether you win the game or not) and get infinite battery in your car - it's powered by the Enclave! However, this only covers half the map; to extend it, you need to power it from the generator in Navarro or Vault 8. And if you connect the wires to the radio, and the radio to the Highwayman, you can listen to music from the C:\My Music folder and its subfolders!
2. Sierra Outpost - The Howitzer in Sierra is attached to a car. To do this, you need to bring Marcus there and convince him to drag the gun to the car. Only Marcus can fire it.
If you bring Lenny to Sierra, he can transplant your brain into SkyNet. As a result, you will become a robot, gain +2 intelligence, +2 action points, -3 charisma, and will be able to copy information from computers without holodisks.
3. San Francisco - If you go down from the dock near the tanker in San Francisco and go under it at a specific spot, you can find the Master from the first Fallout. He will say that the explosion of the cathedral did not completely destroy it, and that he has reassembled himself piece by piece. If you tell him that you are a descendant of the Dweller, he will attack you and die from the first blow. If your karma is -5000 and conversation is 250, you can convince him to become part of you. Then all the parameters will gradually increase and all the mutants will obey your orders.
4. Navarro - In Navarro , if you use science on the computer too many times, the message "You see a big red button. Looks strangely" will appear. If you then apply repair, a dialogue will appear: "You see a big red button. It's so strange, you really want to use it" - Use it - Not use it. If you use it, "You launched a nuclear missle to the Aroyy. Game is over" will appear. And indeed, the game will end.
5. Gecko - if you stay in Glow just long enough to avoid dying and receive the maximum dose of radiation, the hero begins to glow, like some undead. There is no penalty for shooting at night! But you are often attacked on the map. A walking lantern in the desert is also visible from afar! And in Necropolis, they will accept you as one of their own.
If you eat 100 jets, you can learn to fly. If this happens in the Gecko area, after you've spoken to the Enclave man via the terminal, you might encounter a vertibird with an Enclave takedown team. After that, we'll have an aerial battle. Shooting down the vertibird will net you a nice supply of some cool weapons, including a 20mm Vulcan cannon with 500 rounds.
6. New Reno - If you win a LOT of money at the casino in New Reno , when you leave you'll run into some local mobsters. They'll kindly ask you to return the loot (you naturally refuse). You kill them, loot the corpses, and in one of them you'll find the Hand of Death's Hand (desclava), which functions as a melee weapon.
7. Broken Hills - There's a bookcase in Broken Hills that the Chosen One tries to lift whole (you've probably all seen it), but he doesn't have the strength. If you have 10 strength + Adv. Power Armor + all carrying and packing perks, it'll lift and go into your inventory. And you wondered why it's SO heavy? It's filled with books.
8. The Den - Remember Merzger's refrigerator in The Den ? It can be repaired with a high Repair skill. Then you can power it with batteries if you install a fuel cell regulator (which everyone incorrectly installs in the Chrysler Highwayman) and cool Nuka-Cola in it. When cooled, it provides +20 HP and a temporary bonus to damage and fire resistance, as well as a temporary bonus to action points.
Monster Tricks:
1. If you kill 1,000 pseudo-centaurs, the Chosen One on the 1,000th centaur says, "That's it, I've had enough. I need to find these creatures' lair!" After this, a new location called "Centaur Refuge" appears on the world map, filling the last place in the city names. In this refuge, the centaurs can fire weapons and throw grenades. After you kill them all, you'll meet their leader, who will join you provided you killed 1,000 scientists during the game.
2. If you have over 200 melee and handgun skill, complete all of Salvatore's quests, and eliminate all the other families, he'll accept you into his clan, after which he'll give you maps to a secret Yakuza base. You must first defeat five people with 120-400 HP in melee combat, then five more with the same HP and swords. You'll be accepted into the Yakuza, and after completing the quests "Destroy the Vault City," "Destroy NKR," and "Destroy San Fran," you'll receive a laser saber with 700 damage.
3. If you have all the Doctor perks and have this skill leveled up well (250%), you can stitch up and revive the whale in a Special Encounter with the flower and the whale. And if you have the "Persuasive Speech" perk and have it leveled up to 200, you can persuade him to take you to the Enclave.
4. When you find the Holy Grenade, take it to New Reno Arms. Kill the vendor and go down to the basement to the idiot who upgraded your weapon. Talk to him, and he'll see the grenade and join you, telling you it's a lost gift his father gave him as a child. He'll also reveal the coordinates of two military bases and three safehouses.
Battle with Frank Horrigan
1. If all the turrets are disabled during the battle with Frank Horrigan and Sulik is armed with a sledgehammer, there's a chance that a critical hit to Frank's leg will cause him to hop on one leg, eventually blowing a hole in the platform and falling into the water.
2. If Frank gets a successful hit with a grenade launcher, he'll break through the wall and fall headfirst into the ship's hold, where he can be found at the end of the game. In this case, you can remove his armor. However, the knife and machine gun will be destroyed in the explosion...
3. Not far from Modoc , where Horrigan shoots a family, if your reputation is low, you have the Gravedigger and Child Killer perks, maxed out charisma, Modoc's goodwill, and have spoken to Miria at least once, you can tell him, "Hey, Frankie, forget them, I know a fun place nearby – it's called Modoc, the girls there are so cool! Let's go, you won't regret it!"
Then it's simple: on your way to Miria's house, trip Frankie, knock him down a well, and throw dynamite in there, then, after dealing with the guards, you can climb into the well and loot Frankie's artifacts! Furthermore, this option allows you to bypass Navarro and the Oil Rig AT ALL – just bring the GEKK to Arroyo and the game is won.
NPC Vik
1. If you reconciled Vik with Valerie's daughter and retrieved the nuke cap from the well, bring it to her along with some rope, and she'll collect a perpetual ruble. This requires a repair level of over 160. Now all Nuke-Cola in the vending machines is free. If you manage to sell bottles, your million is just around the corner...
2. If you accuse Vik of calling you "boss," "chief," etc., more than 20-30 times, he'll eventually call you a "brahmin's ass." This nickname will stick with you forever among your NPCs.
From the editors - karma will decrease depending on the number of NPCs in your group, taking into account -100 for 1 group member.
