S.T.A.L.K.E.R. End of the World 2: Last Dawn (mod)

About the Plot:

The plot of this modification continues the story of the first game, End of the World.

The Marked One, searching for a source of light, learns of the "Kerosinka" artifact, which he then travels to Agroprom to retrieve. A massacre between soldiers and stalkers unfolds on the research institute's premises, resulting in the Marked One finally escaping. Searching for a way out of this situation, he realizes the full danger of his situation. Zone factions begin to relocate en masse, new alliances and new threats emerge. Only the chance of survival becomes significant.

The game takes us through almost the entire Zone, which, in turn, has changed in very unique ways.

The artifact carried by the protagonist in his backpack, although it repeatedly saves its owner from certain death, also has its own side effects. Hallucinations, visions from the past, frequent appearances of heroes whose destinies once intersected with the Marked One's. More and more often, our protagonist begins to see events from the past, events that no one else can see.

The player will assume the role of a member of the defensive garrison, encounter new enemies, and learn many little-known facts about the Zone.

Many moments of the Zone's origins are taken from A. Akimov's novel "The Inside of History," which is currently being written.

Gameplay Features:

A few words about the gameplay features:

1. There are no tasks as such in the game. The player is given a clear target, or a desired object is marked, and so on. In addition, the character records all the information necessary for successful completion in the diary, so there's no need to put down the notebook and pen.

2. The game is predominantly dark. In this situation, a flashlight and night vision devices come to the hero's aid. Overall, we tried to add as much variety as possible: moonlight, thunderstorms, special effects... It's worth noting that there will still be moments in the game when the player will be able to see sunlight.

3. The problem of darkness is easily solved with illumination grenades, which are inexpensive and quite common. But don't forget that a glowing grenade flying out of the darkness causes panic.

4. Many plot points have been voiced.

5. The plot is made as engaging as possible. That is, there's a minimum of running from one end of the Zone to the other. A maximum of plot scenes and incidents.

6. The NPC AI and the overall combat scheme have been redesigned, making the gameplay largely unpredictable.

7. Although the game's difficulty has increased in many ways, attention to detail and a rational approach to equipment selection will resolve this issue once and for all.

Overall, there's a lot that could be listed here, but it's better to see everything with your own eyes, right?
