Diablo 1 Walkthrough -> Blood Warlord

This quest is somewhat similar to the one with Ogden's Sign: it closes the passage to the 14th level of the labyrinth. The staircase leading down is surrounded by a wall, and the passage can only be opened by reading the Steel Tome. The tome is on a pedestal, typical of quest books.
He will tell you the story of the Blood Lord, a cruel and dark Bartuk who sold his soul to the princes of darkness in exchange for the strategic skill of a commander.
Since then, Bartuk has achieved many victories over his enemies, but his cruelty knew no bounds, and his soul knew no peace. Over time, he developed a love for bathing in the blood of his slain enemies, which brought him peace. He forgot his name, and others called him only the Blood Warlord. It is he you will need to defeat to reach the lower levels of the labyrinth.
Bartuk himself is already quite powerful, but he's also surrounded by minions in the form of Black Knights. Therefore, it's easier for you to deal with them first, luring them out of the room one by one, and then take on the warlord himself. Upon his death, he'll leave you with a room full of racks of weapons and armor, as well as a unique sword.
Reward: Inferno, a unique blade with fire damage, and weapon and armor racks.
