Squad 1. We emerge into a large open square, from where the "Equipment" sign is visible. We meet Barney. A group of people appears from a red room on the side; they need to be escorted to safety. We move forward to the right, enter a train depot with two train cars, and proceed to the back room. The people need to be escorted behind the machine gun mount, where Alyx will remain.
Squad 2. We return to the square, drones arrive and drop mines. We clear the way, enter the red building with Barney, take a new squad with us, and lead them to the depot. On the way back, Combines burst into the depot through the upper windows. We kill them with rockets, as there is a chest with infinite ammo nearby.
Squad 3. A sniper and several mines will appear in the square. On the way back to the depot, Elite Combines will appear; they will drop one of the train cars to the floor; you will have to go around it along the second floor along the far wall.
Squad 4. There's a Combine combat vehicle in the square; we blow it up with rockets from afar. We kill the remaining Combines and withdraw the squad. At the depot, we kill the enemies who entered through the lower doors near the far wall.
Squad 5. We fight drones and Combine special forces. We take the last squad, Barney is with us. At the depot, we fight off the enemies standing on the roof of the train car.
Barney leaves with the rescued people on the train. Alyx and I remain at the station. We turn the valve, Alyx runs through the door, and at that moment, a Strider attacks us.
The Final Boss
Escape the Strider through the newly opened corridor. Climb the inclined container. Circle around it, then walk along the roof of the inclined container. Cross the catwalk near the wall. Jump into the central corridor and detonate the barrels in front of you. At the end of the path, turn left and pass between the train cars. Climb to the second floor, where we find rockets behind cover and launch them at the Strider. A little further on lies a chest with infinite rockets.
After defeating the boss, descend down the other side to the front of the train. Alyx emerges, and we board the train with her.
We leave the city, witnessing the citadel explode along the way, sending capsules containing aliens flying out in all directions. The Earth invaders are now cut off and have no contact with their home planet. In this state, they are vulnerable, but they will have to be found and destroyed for a long time to come.
