Diablo 1 Walkthrough -> Magic (Personal Skills)
Magic spells are essential during gameplay. They help you clear dungeons more quickly and efficiently. For some characters, they're even vital. However, the effects of spells are best seen when playing with multiple players. Then, the workload can be divided among each character.
Some players engage in hand-to-hand combat, while others use magic to aid others. At higher difficulty levels, magic is simply indispensable. Therefore, its development shouldn't be taken lightly. Instead, it requires careful attention.
Personal skills of heroes
Repair Items - This skill allows you to repair worn-out items. However, the lifespan is only partially restored, not fully, and the maximum lifespan of the item is also reduced. However, this skill improves as the Warrior's level increases.
Disarm Traps - With this skill, the Archer can see if there's a trap even without using it. All traps are indicated in red in the bottom message box. This spell can be used to disarm a trap. As the Archer's Dexterity increases, her ability to disarm traps improves.
Recharge Staff - Like the Warrior, the Mage can recharge used staves by using their skill. However, like the Warrior, this isn't fully rechargeable. Recharging becomes more efficient as the skill level increases.
Identify - Determines the characteristics of unknown magical and unique items. Bard skill.
Search - Shows all items lying on the dungeon floor, highlighting them in blue. Additionally, it shows the location of items on the map within a certain radius. A Monk skill.
