Sorcerer

Diablo 1 Walkthrough  -> Sorcerer

If swinging an axe isn't your style, if sending clouds of arrows at your enemies isn't your style, if you enjoy variety, complexity, and intricacy, then magic is your choice. And there's no better magic-wielding class than the Sorcerer.

Their magic stat can be developed to enormous levels, and thanks to the "Magic Shield" spell, which causes damage from monsters to be dealt not by hit points but by magic, a mage with pumped-up mana can compete in endurance with a warrior.

Starting characteristics

Strength: 15

Dexterity: 15

Magic: 35

Vitality: 20

Maximum characteristics

Strength: 45

Dexterity: 85

Magic: 250

Vitality: 80

In my opinion, this class is the most difficult to learn, but the most powerful at higher levels. Early on, you might find yourself selling your last shoes just to buy Mana Bottles and somehow manage to hit enemies, but once you've leveled up and acquired some devastating AoE spells, you can lay waste to enemies in droves.

And with the teleport spell, you'll forget what it's like to walk, what walls, obstacles, etc. are—powered-up mages dart across the map with lightning speed using the teleport spell. Where should you invest your stat points? Magic and only magic. Upgrade all the other stats later, when you're rich in bottles.
