Stalker: Shadow of Chernobyl → Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant
The emission continues, so it's in the character's best interest to jump into the white teleporter rings as quickly as possible, avoiding the Monoliths that have appeared around them. Climb the ladder to the roof and hide behind a bunch of pipes.
Note: the character will be noticeably shaken from time to time—aiming at these moments is impossible, so take cover. Interestingly, the shaking doesn't affect your enemies.
The gameplay in this level is fairly straightforward: without descending to the ground, you need to jump from teleporter to teleporter to reach the culprits behind the Zone's emergence and have a heart-to-heart talk with them. There are plenty of snipers on the rooftops, but you can also find good hunting grounds on the vast rooftops of the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant.
Climb the two ladders to the sarcophagus, run along it, and descend the other ladders. Ignore the wooden ladder, but run to the edge of the roof and drop down onto a long concrete walkway. You need to run along it to the next teleporter.
After two jumps, you'll be back on the roof. Run diagonally across the entire roof to the next teleporter. You're at the very top of the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant, on the roof of the sarcophagus. Climb the ladder to the burning helicopter and the pipe. At the very foot of the pipe is another teleporter. Two jumps and you're on the pipelines. Turn around, climb the ladder to the ledge, and, ignoring the snork, dive into the next teleporter.
You can kill the stalker sitting ahead with an RPG-7, or you can run past him while he realizes what's happening, puts away the grenade launcher, and draws his pistol. Jump again! Two snorks are waiting for you around the corner, but you can ignore them—turn right, run forward to the gap in the railing, and boldly jump from the roof! You're back on the concrete walkway between two pipes. Ahead is a chasm. What to do?
Jump straight from the pipe to the roof on the right and, hiding between two tanks, clear out the snipers and riflemen on the nearby rooftops. To climb the meter-high jump, you'll need to jump onto the railing first. You'll pass the gap in the roof and jump from the ladder to the pipe again. Another teleporter is ahead. Keep an eye out for two Monoliths running up to the right of the pipe. Eliminate them to avoid being directly in front of them on your next jump. Three more jumps without interruption.
Now get ready to fight your way to the teleporters again. It's good that before the fight you can usually prepare and open fire first. A firefight ensues, we run around the corner, take out the stalker hiding behind a pipe. Jump. Fight among the boxes. Jump. Hello, Sidorovich! Jump. Hide in the maze of pipes and tanks (you can fire at the iron catwalks from below), climb the stairs, and run to the next teleporter. But don't enter it until you've saved your game.
The final battle lies ahead. There won't be any monsters here—just a lot of Monolith stalkers, snipers on the rooftops, and RPG gunners. Furthermore, the enemies will simply teleport to you several times. If you rush straight to the rooftop for the final teleporter, you have no chance of surviving the crossfire.
The secret is to run along the roof below instead of climbing the ladders to the iron catwalks. Anyone below can hide behind the tanks and pipes. Anyone on the catwalks is exposed and defenseless. First, eliminate the two riflemen on the sides, then carefully eliminate the snipers on the roof ahead. When a new group of enemies arrives, deal with those running near you on the roof first, then move on to those walking along the catwalks. A Monolith with an RPG-7 will be positioned on the elevated platform between the catwalks in the center of the roof.
Once you're sure there are no more enemies (at least those accessible to you), climb the ladder to the catwalks and cross the rubble of containers. Now all that's left is to reach the roof and sprint to the final portal, ignoring the Monoliths teleporting toward you.
Evil is defeated. Good triumphs. And that means you've completed the game. Congratulations.
