Perks (level 3)

Fallout 2 Walkthrough  → Perks (Level 3)

Unlike  Traits , Perks in Fallout 2 have no downsides. A new Perk can be acquired every three levels (starting at level 3—i.e., at levels 3, 6, 9, etc.). If the Trained trait was selected during character creation, Perks are awarded every four levels (at levels 4, 8, 12, etc.).

The list of available Perks depends on your character's stats. Some Perks have multiple levels of development. A number of Perks boost specific skills by several points. This method of skill development is similar to the standard method; if a skill is already at a high level, the effect of its development will be reduced.
