Written based on a video where the author reflects on the topic of why people leave the game and after some time return to it again. What is actually happening is the mechanics of the capacitor, i.e. a person has given a lot of energy to Eve and burned all the capacitor, then he scores on the game, restores energy by 100% in a year or two, and comes back to play again.
That there are people who are capstable or with such energy-saving activities, and there are those who, like on a cap booster, burn their capacitor. And like the most important resource in the game is strength and energy. Is this true?
How do you burn capacitor in Eve:
Fly around hubs for half a day, buy cheaper modules for the ship, fly to lowsec and lose the last 100kk.
Look for expeditions on Algos, earn yourself some vexor. Fly to get exp in lowsec and lose all ISK, crashing into pirates at the camp.
Build a station for the last 2 billion ISK, farm Omega with scan, pirates kill the station, and find yourself in a dilemma: pay for Omega or build a new station.
Mining a lot, on one or several windows, or farm the same thing every day.
Ways to save your energy:
If Omega is farmed in 2-3 weeks or more - play on alpha and buy ships.
Have a set of ships for different tasks: agent, mining, scan, abysses, gas, invasions, soil, combat, etc. so that you can switch between them if you get bored, or if the update cuts your earnings, or nerfs your favorite ship. This will not be the only ship, but just one from the hangar.
Build a station or invest in something for 10% of your ISK, and not 100%. For example, if you put an astrahus for 2kkk, you should have at least 20kkk in your buffer, i.e. for 10 of the same. The same applies in principle to ships, what to fly on, etc. Have the ability to buy several of the same ships in case of loss.
Capacitor and enemy?
What do you fight with when clashing with the enemy? With the type of ships? You have battles, he has dreadnoughts, you have dreads, he has Supers. With the number of people in the fleet? You have 50, he has 100. You have one full fleet, he has two and a fleet of friends.
Or are you still fighting with the energy of the opponent? What, whether you win or lose, will the opponent not enter Eve for a very long time after fighting you and sit restoring his capacitor?

Example from another game
When in Planetside 2 our faction starts to roll the second one up to the warpgate, sweeping away everything in its path. The enemy spends a lot of human resources, strength and energy, because there can be up to 200 people involved at the same time.
And here there is a choice, just do nothing, then the opponent will happily reach the spawn and start camping it. Or mock and mine the roads as much as possible, make additional spawns at the bases, put a router in the trees. So that after capturing the base they do not go straight to the next one, but all together take you down from the trees and look for where you appear from at the captured base.
Spawn cheap tanks for allies, so that the enemy has to spend the unit's resources for the sake of victory, i.e. orbital strikes, etc. on you. At the same time, you do not spend anything, because it is easier to defend than to attack. The opponent, as in the first option, will roll you, but after going through all this hell, he will lie under the warpgate, spreading his arms wide from what happened to him.
After such a procedure in Plantside 2, our faction won most of the continents for a whole week, turning them blue.
Why can't you do the same in Eve? Fight not with ships, they have better spikes, and people, the opponent has more of them, but with the opponent's stamina, in the ways that you yourself found or came up with o7
