Rampart




It's time for a review of another castle in 3 heroes Rampart, a haven for elves, dwarves and dragons! 



Features of the Rampart:
 
  • average cost - it plays much more pleasantly than the castle.
  • quick start - on the third day, you can have two full damage stacks, these are Archers and Centaurs, which simplifies taking objects.
  • guild level 5 - the maximum guild level is available, you can roll for yourself not only a "town portal" but also a "flight" with a "door of dimensions".
  • dependent on wood - to build this castle, you need not only gold, but also a large amount of wood.
  • dependence on crystals - pegases and dragons require crystals.
  • self-sufficiency - you can build a dwarven treasury, which will increase your gold by 10% every week at the end of each week. There comes a time when there is so much gold that there is nowhere to put it.

Heroes

If there is only one good hero on Castle, then there is only one bad one on Rampart - Ufretin with the gnome specialization and useless starting skills. All the rest are pretty good heroes that are pleasant and convenient to play. Most often, heroes players playing for the Rampart choose Ivor, because of his skills:



That is, for each new level of the hero, archers will increase the overall dps. Well, Ivor starts with shooting and attack. Almost a classic warrior in the game. Having leveled up archers, you will receive double damage from them. But there are also already T2 Centaurs with 8th speed, the second dps stack. And on Centaurs you can still accelerate your hero before the next day. 

But gnomes are usually not bought, since they have 3rd speed and they slow down the army a lot, because the number of moves is calculated by the lowest speed of all the hero's units. But in the T2 variant and in the late game, the gnomes can become a stack for beating. 

Building a Rampart

Again, depending on the amount of gold found at the respawn, I found the following ways to build a castle: 

Day 1



On the first day, we upgrade the Centaurs, and having thrown off the army from the native hero, we already have a normal stack with the eighth speed, taking the simplest guards. Whether to buy gnomes with the 3rd speed into the army is up to you. Some hero players take them, and some do not and only ride centaurs. 

Day 3



On the second and third days, it is important to have 20 wood to be able to place and upgrade the archer's estate. After that, in addition to the centaurs, you already have a second dps unit, a ranged one. You can try to break through the middle guards. 

Not enough gold


 
  • If there is little gold on the respawn, you fully build the economy for the first week, this is:
  • prefecture - gives 1000 gold daily
  • citadel - more army growth for the next week
  • mysterious stream - every week randomly generates some resource.
  • market - for exchanging resources if necessary, and preparing for the construction of the Municipality (2000 gold per day) next week.
 
Average gold



If the randomizer poured in gold in an average amount, on the 4-5th day I recommend putting and upgrading the Pegasus. I really liked them, since they have a good acceleration at 12th speed and they fly across the entire map, which makes it easier to take the shooting guards of objects, blocking one of the stacks with pegases.

Lots of gold



Rarely this happened, but if there is a lot of gold on the respawn, then try to go to Dendroids with Unicorns in the first week and finish everything off with the citadel, for a bigger increase next week. 

About dragons, I won't say that they are bad, the peculiarity of the 7th level Stronghold unit is that you can't cast 1-3 levels of spells on dragons, and 1-4 levels on the t2 version. But I haven't seen hero players seriously building them in rinks, maybe I'm wrong, idk. 

Second week



In the second week of playing for the Rampart, after buying out and upgrading the army, I see three main strategies:

1) Gold - You build a capitol (4000 gold per day), which you cover with a dwarven treasury (+ 10% to all gold that was on the 7th day at the end of the turn). And after a few weeks you no longer need gold in principle. 
2) Control - the second option, build the guild to level 4 to roll the city portal spell, and at level 5 of the guild, look for a flight with a DD in the scroll - you have full control magic, for the second week of the game. 
3) Army - you can still stick a dragon, and if possible, then upgrade it and there will be 15th speed, good acceleration. But I have not seen this done often in PvP. Again, I may be wrong.

  • Kentaurus t2 from the first day top!
  • Archers t2 on the 3rd day top!
  • Pegasus t2 top!
  • Dwarves, well, so-so...
  • Trees are also not bad, but like gnomes slow... 
  • Unicorns when attacking can blind the opponent's unit, top. But it takes a long time to build.
  • Dranons, well I don't know... You can play without them.
